Product Manager - FinTech

Novel Capital is a FinTech startup providing innovative revenue-based capital products to transform how companies fund their growth. Our innovative platform provides financing to tech and subscription companies that in many cases don’t fit the traditional banking or venture-capital equity models.

We are looking for a passionate and motivated Product Manager to be part of shaping our Fintech platform to deliver existing and future offerings to our customers in an elegant and user-friendly manner. As a Product Manager, you will take ownership of Novel’s platform roadmap and manage the end-to-end delivery of new features. You will be in charge of bringing innovative features and product offerings to the market. To accomplish this, you’ll be working alongside talented colleagues from our Engineering, Design, Sales, Marketing, and Underwriting teams.

This role reports directly to the Director of Product and will work on critical projects that have visibility at the company leadership level.

What You’ll Do

Create product requirements driven by customer needs, business goals, data, and market indicators.
Work closely with software engineers and turn requirements into wireframes, specifications, and user stories.
Organize, plan, and manage the execution of engineering sprints to ensure the timely delivery of roadmap features.
Develop conceptual prototypes to solve problems for internal and external stakeholders.
Analyze key metrics and analytics to inform product decisions and drive decision-making
Manage the end-to-end delivery cycle of features, including roll-out to customers and across the internal team.
Be the voice of the Customer and ensure the best customer experience on Novel's platform.

Requirements

2+ years of product management experience in fintech solutions or analytics platform.
Proven track record of managing complex projects from research, and planning to delivery.
Strong product sense and experience leveraging data, and user feedback to drive decisions and measure impact.
Strong understanding of Databases and comfort working with complex data-heavy systems, SQL Knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs.
Must possess the ability to take on complex problems and break them into deliverable product initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding and implementing UI/UX designs that will improve customer experience.
A multidisciplinary approach to thinking, combining market, business, and technical insights to identify opportunities and weigh tradeoffs.
Experience working with distributed Engineering teams
Experience working in a fast-growing start-up.

The location for this position is in our offices in Kansas City.
