Production Associate

• SUMMARY:
  • Perform work according to established procedures and policies through teamwork.

  • The Production Operator is part of the Production department and reports to the Team Leader and/or Plant Superintendent.

  
  

• ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
  • Assure safety standards are followed at all times.

  • Assure that quality standards are followed at all times.

  • Adhere to the standard work instructions (SWI).

  • Contribute fully to continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Adhere to 5S and “World Class Housekeeping” standards.

  • Achieve operator certification according to the plant certification process.

  • Participate in team meetings and understands performance goals and objectives.

  • Help to achieve team performance goals and objectives.

  • Follow ISO14001/TS16949 documentation including, but not limited to, SWI’s, forms, work instructions, and procedures.

  • Actively participate in self-directed work team model.

  • Follow company rules and policies/procedures.

  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Participate in plant recycling programs.

  • Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by producing product to meet customer needs and expectations.

• Health and Safety:
  • Learn the rules; understand them; follow them; and avoid short cuts.

  • Take personal responsibility for keeping yourself, your co-workers, and equipment free of hazards.

  • Consistently comply with personal protective equipment requirements.

  • Be certain to follow work instructions.

  • Take part in the employee participation system and support other employees in their assigned roles under the health and safety program.

  • Report all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to your supervisor immediately.

  • Consider your job tasks effectively performed only if done safely.

  • Actively participate in the health and safety program.
