As a production coordinator, you will support the supervising producer in the production of high-quality videos and social media initiatives. The ideal candidate will employ field and studio production skills and assist producers in completing projects that promote the president of SCAD as well as signature events and opportunities offered at the university. In this role, you will be responsible for all organizational aspects of executive media production in all SCAD locations, interdepartmental collaboration with visual media, and assisting with the day-to-day administration of the department and handling logistics for video shoots. Among other duties, you will manage shoot sheets, production schedules, and call sheets; maintain shoot calendars and book locations; manage invoices, freelance paperwork, and vendor legal paperwork; and coordinate miscellaneous needs for events and shoots, such as meals and craft services.
The successful candidate is mature, detail oriented, highly organized, and very personable, all of which are valuable attributes as you likely will work with high-profile visiting artists, shy students, and busy faculty and staff members. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced, unpredictable, and high-pressure environment, handling challenges with poise and approaching all assignments with enthusiasm, curiosity, and a positive attitude, even when responding to demanding requests. The ability to work outside office hours, weekends, and holidays, as well as travel domestically and internationally on short notice is required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver’s license and one year of driving experience
Travel Required: 20% to 40%
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other work days and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
