Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for operations of all processing equipment and associated utilities in the Natural Chemical Production facility.
Responsible for daily supervision of chemical operators, training, scheduling and performance reviews in adherence to HS&E and quality compliance.
Advanced equipment troubleshooting and testing after maintenance.
Coordinate maintenance tasks and contractors based on production scheduling.
Monitor equipment performance and utilization. Evaluate equipment failures by establishing parameters to monitor and set preventative maintenance.
Review all production records for accuracy.
Participate in writing and reviewing all SOPs, PCNs and production procedures, recommending cost, safety and quality improvements.
Incident coordinator for all incidents and near misses and responsible for immediate corrective actions and reporting.
Assist manager with production scheduling for efficient workshop workloa
Participant in all Natural Chemical Maintenance, Safety reviews and Capital Investment/User Requirement Specifications meetings.
Maintain communication, oral and written, with operators, engineers and scientists.
Perform other duties as required
We Value:
Experience as operator and training operators and prior supervision preferred.
Must provide continuous support for safety, environmental and quality practices as it relates to a chemical plant environment.
Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task effectively
Requirments:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
As a minimum, seven (7) years' experience in a chemical plant environment.
Expert knowledge in the operation of all Natural Chemical equipment (fermentors, chemical reactors, autoclave and stills), process control systems (DeltaV software).
Experience in troubleshooting equipment.
Knowledgeable in bio-chemical processing including sterile transfers, acid-base chemistry, distillation, oxidations and handling hazardous chemical.
