Job Summary/Basic Function:
Support the mission of Weber State University and the Division of Online & Continuing Education (DOCE) through the administration of programs offered through the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and/or the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH). This position will be housed at the Rocky Mountain Center for Occupational and Environmental Health (RMCOEH) building in Salt Lake City.
Manages projects and maintains running programs and related activities under the direction of the Program Director and/or a Program Administrator. Activities may include doing the following: Reviews past programs, projects budgets, sets action plans, engages instructors, establishes registration procedures, markets the program, assesses program outcomes, implements customer service strategies, manage and prepares course materials, and other responsibilities as necessary. This position may hire, train, and supervise salaried or hourly staff. This position will work closely with operational support to provide day-to-day coordination for programs and support the daily operation of the center. As responsibilities increase, there will be interactions with department chairs, directors, deans, business leaders, and other professionals in order to build new programs and grow existing ones.

- Bachelors Degree.
- Two years experience in a closely related environment.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred:
- University or industry experience with program development or management and/or direct support experience for similar programs.
- Three years experience in a Continuing Education unit or closely related University environment.
- Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets and/or databases. High technical aptitude and ability to interpret and organize data.
- Excellent customer service skills with an aptitude for developing and building good inter-personal relations.
- Masters degree and/or experience developing education programs.
- Bilingual English and Spanish
