As part of its global transformation, Condé Nast implemented a new operating model for Content/Editorial and IP rights management and is currently rolling out a technology platform & set of shared tools for planning, managing, and sharing content as well as rights to intellectual property. The delivery of these tools and applications span multiple development work streams and business stakeholder groups but operate interdependently in a complex and matrixed environment.
The Program Director for Content Enabling Tech will play a key role in ensuring that the initiative meets CN business objectives by developing a singular, rolled up program view of lower level project plans across all workstreams, ensuring new delivery processes are functioning effectively, sizing releases and creating processes to prioritize work within release planning cycles with business stakeholders, reviewing work stream project plans for interdependencies within the program and other intersecting programs, defining success criteria and target KPIs with business stakeholders and tracking progress against these goals. The Program Director will take a critical role in ensuring the adherence to and refinement of delivery processes and architect new processes with cross functional teams as needs are identified. The Program Director is responsible for all levels of program governance including creation of program/delivery roadmaps, release plans, operating committee reports, and go-live sequencing and strategies. The Program Director will utilize their deep experience with software development best practices to ensure transitions from delivery to BAU processes are defined, agreed, and executed effectively.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Lead the shift in delivery processes to a new methodology based on SAFe and Scrum frameworks and drive the continued maturity of these processes

Lead all release planning efforts with development teams including user story mapping and sizing, business test case creation, and end to end testing

Oversee and refine scoping processes in conjunction with Product and BA leads as required to ensure proper definition of stakeholder requirements

Work with cross-functional program team and change leads to create comprehensive rollout/release plans including UAT, data/content migration, end user training, business cutover, and hypercare

Communicate concise and regular status with various levels of leadership

Identify risks and prepare risk mitigation tactics; track and report issues

Drive accountability across business stakeholders by tracking and monitoring progress toward key milestones/action items

Create new processes to support intake of stakeholder feedback, transition to BAU engagements with product management leads, intake of new requirements, scope change, and other areas as identified

Create training approach; lead development of end-user training materials; overseeing/conduct training

Define and measure success metrics, adherence to target KPIs, and monitor program progress
Essential Skills & Requirements:

10+ years of experience in project/program management for a large-scale engineering organization or tier 1 consumer facing application

Expert knowledge of project management and software delivery methodologies; PMBOK/PMP principles and SAFe frameworks a plus

Proven ability to manage complex programs and drive cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and influence co-workers while fostering strong working relationships

Deep experience developing and reporting on delivery metrics including pacing and turndown as well as KPIs for business goals, process improvement projects, and program management

Ability to influence and communicate cross functionally with all levels effectively

Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

Base Salary Range : $165,000 - $180,000
