The Director, Program Manager (0704) Opportunity:
We are seeking a proactive and organized Program Manager Director to drive highly visible and complex company initiatives. Our Program Manager Director will collaborate with a broad spectrum of multi-disciplinary internal partners including product, software, engineering and manufacturing. This individual will manage programs throughout the life cycle – from definition to completion. Programs can range from rapid response short-term programs to multi-year strategic programs. This role reports into our CEO. The ideal corporate program management leader is a proactive, motivated, self-assured individual with a strong combination of strategy and execution skills that can assume full ownership.
In this Role, You Will:
Lead highly visible multidisciplinary project teams or initiatives; provides thought leadership
Manage the overall operating rhythm of programs – rapidly form multi-disciplinary teams, facilitate meetings, define problem statements, set clear goals, track progress, and drive business results
Proactively identify and solve the most complex problems; using ground-breaking methods to think beyond existing solutions
Ensure specific project and program objectives are defined for areas of responsibility, and that necessary preliminary activities (e.g., determination of outcomes, milestones, viability studies, and resource planning, among others) are completed to allow for effectiveness and focus during later stages of completion
Ensure all projects and programs assigned are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion
Ensure all phases of project, program and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate
Work with data team to provide all needed data analytics and insights
Seek out internal and external experts to support program success and drive alignment; be highly resourceful in reaching out to various organizations and individuals (strong networking and influence management skills)
Generate compelling presentations and reports with clear insights; distills complex information for Executive communication (excellent PowerPoint/Google Slide, Excel, analytical, messaging and visual / written / verbal communications skills required)
Requirements, Knowledge and Experience:
Preferred, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering experience
10-15 years of work experience in program management
Strong interpersonal skills with the temperament and ability to lead complex multi-disciplinary projects / initiatives and collaborate with a wide spectrum of stakeholders
Highly detail oriented; multi-tasking skills; excellent planning, organizational, and execution skills; ability to perform task methodically with structure; ability to create a good framework before execution; drives execution to the timeline with sense of urgency with minimum direction
Strong communication skills; ability to communicate (verbal, written, and visual presentation)
Extremely high proficiency in Google, Excel and other project management tools (i.e. MS Project, Monday.com)
Collaborative team player with the ability to work cohesively in a team environment
Strong networking and influencing skills; builds rapport and credibility with key stakeholders as well as influence manages and negotiates with them
Highly adaptive to changing priorities / environment
Ability to handle complex, ambiguous tasks; ability to execute and perform with limited, imperfect information
Problem solving: proactively identifies and solves complex problems; anticipates challenges to minimize surprises; thinks outside of the box and uses effective methods to think beyond existing solutions; courage to tackle new challenges
High energy, proactive leader with creativity, curiosity, and innovative / growth mindset; open to new ways of doing things
Compensation:
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $175,000 - $220,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas. This role is also eligible for stock options, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
