We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Program Manager- VeriCre on our Health Solution team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.
As a Program Manager- VeriCre; you will provide operational program management for a new product in the AMA’s Credentialing portfolio. Responsible for developing, managing, documenting, and tracking workflows that support the launch, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of the AMA’s newest Credentialing Products solution. Work with the product manager for the line of business, the AMA and external IT staff, the AMA Data Labs team, HS sales, marketing, and business operations to ensure efficient and reliable management of all workflows and tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management
- Create and manage all project timelines and maintain project plans, status, and issue reports
- Build and manage project dashboard
- Report project status regularly and proactively communicate concerns and risks to management; with management’s assistance resolve all project issues
- Manage project plans to ensure all milestones are met on time and to business specifications
- Create action plans where progress does not meet agreed upon plans; develop and adhere to project governance plan
- Serves as primary point of contact with vendors to assure touch base point are met and revised as necessary
Product Management and Development
- Provide project management and coordination in the planning, development, and execution of product roadmap for product launch
- Collaborate with IT and Data Labs, and other stakeholders on the technical development/and or business requirements of new products or product features
- Provide insights on user needs, user experience, and market goals
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience and needs, identify, and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience
- Develop and complete thorough user acceptance testing
Project Administration
- Manage all administrative aspects for the project team lead by the Product Manager including scheduling telephone/face-to-face meetings with project team, technical team, steering committee, and advisory group
- Organizes and creates materials for presentations and demonstrations and distributes reports and updates to stakeholders.
- Facilitates regular communication with all internal and external stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience required
- Project management experience required (e.g., developing project plans, load balancing work, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting summaries); planning and organizing skills needed to anticipate, prioritize, and coordinate work assignments
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, required
- Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to manage projects a
- Ability to work with online and software-based management and content tools.
- Ability to analyze and provide solutions to develop and improve processes required.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to work independently as well as in a team in high pressure environments required
- Ability to understand general technical and healthcare concepts to apply them to coordination activities
- Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of knowledge
- Attention to detail required
