Project Intern (Graduate Student)- Office of Community Colleges and Education Pipeline

The Research Foundation is currently seeking a Project Intern for the Office of Community Colleges and Education Pipeline with SUNY System Administration in Albany, NY.

Job Summary:

The Research Foundation for SUNY is seeking a graduate student interested in working in a business environment and gaining experience in a grant funded program. The Project Intern will support the daily operations of the SUNY Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) "SUNY SEM" grant from the Lumina Foundation, as well as other related projects in the Office of Community Colleges and the Education Pipeline. The Project Intern will report to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Community College Support in the Office of Community Colleges and the Education Pipeline at SUNY System Administration. The duration of this internship is anticipated to last through June 2023; this could be shorter in duration depending on the availability of the chosen candidate.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with administrative and project duties such as filing and maintaining electronic documents, updating website and social media accounts, and project planning support
  • Support for meeting-related functions including scheduling meetings, sending meeting materials and follow-up, and taking notes
  • Communication outreach to grant partners and SUNY community colleges, as well as, other stakeholders
  • Maintain and process grant paperwork and track grant payments
  • Assist in data input and review
  • Support other staff including project managers
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

Required Education/Qualifications:

  • Graduate student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with multiple groups and stakeholders
  • General administrative experience, good organizational skills and the ability to work independently on projects
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications and Zoom video conference platform is required
  • Ability to work up to 20 hours per week (with room for flexibility)

Preferred Education/Qualifications:

  • Students from the State University of New York colleges and universities


Additional Information:

Salary: $18.00 per hour
