Project Scientist series positions are occasionally available throughout the year at the Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California, Irvine.
Applications sought from candidates with strong laboratory research backgrounds and specialized training. This is an ongoing recruitment and positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank determination based on qualifications and experience.
Basic Qualifications: PhD or PhD/MD or its foreign equivalent.
Additional Qualifications: Interdisciplinary skills and approaches with evidence of past research productivity, strong publication record and specialized training . Demonstrated independent research, and/or original and creative contributions to a research project or program.
Preferred qualifications: Familiarity with novel optical microscope and laser medical technologies, physics, and optics to integrate various new optical technologies into current systems. Knowledge of lasers, photonics, applied optics, thermal imaging techniques, and laser alignment through various optical configurations, including microscope.
