We are committed to delivering exceptional value and service, contributing to the overall success of the organization.The role of a Renewal Manager is critical to a software company's ongoing revenue stream and customer satisfaction. By ensuring that customers continue to use and renew their software subscriptions, they contribute to the company's success and growth. Their primary responsibility is to manage and oversee the renewal process for customer subscriptions or contracts. Here are some of the key tasks and responsibilities typically associated with the role of a Renewal Manager.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and nurture strong relationships with existing customers, serving as the primary point of contact during the renewal process.Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer satisfaction, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.Develop comprehensive strategies and plans for renewing customer subscriptions or contracts based on a deep understanding of customer needs and usage patterns.Identify potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities to enhance customer value.Review existing contracts and subscription agreements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.Conduct negotiations, if necessary, to accommodate customer requests and secure renewals.Analyze customer data, usage metrics, and relevant information to make data-driven decisions on renewal strategies, pricing, and customer retention.Provide regular reports and forecasts on renewal rates, revenue, and key performance indicators to company leadership.Facilitate effective communication between customers and internal teams (sales, customer support, product development) to streamline the renewal process and address customer needs promptly.Work on continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and customer-friendliness of the renewal process.Aim to retain customers by ensuring a positive experience and proactively resolving any issues.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus.Proven experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in software or technology-related industries.Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.Prior experience in contract review and renewal management is advantageous.Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.Diversity & InclusionAt project44, we're designing the future of how the world moves and is connected through trade and global supply chains.
