Job Summary:
Support the sales organization throughout the proposal process; identification, qualification, and response represent equally important stages for an ideal Proposal Manager. Proposal Manager leverage previous responses and templates while coordinating and soliciting input from cross-functional teams to develop winning proposals. Proposal Manager synthesizes a variety of inputs to develop compelling, engaging and successful proposals.
Responsibilities
  • Manage Request for Proposals across a variety of markets and products;
  • Work with the sales teams in building, positioning, closing and forecasting large strategic deals, including acting as the liaison between Sales teams and other stakeholders’ partners involved in the deal structuring process (e.g. Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, Marketing, etc.);
  • Perform initial RFP Analysis and recommend bid/no-bid decision;
  • Respond to RFPs within self-imposed deadlines through the assessment of requirements, utilization and coordination of resources, and task prioritization;
  • Create, generate and revise proposal materials and the contents relating to specific customer requirements and unique value points for the integrated solution;
  • Implement, improve and supervise proposal processes and sales processes (proposal development through contracting and hand over to Ops)
  • Create and design a high-level as well as detailed system design drawings, layouts, schematics, project schedule, applications for the requested proposal scope;
  • Support Contract Renewals in Coordination with sales team;
  • Specify appropriate system components, calculate component ratings and quantities, and create detailed bills-of material for material and labor cost estimates;
  • Build and leverage special business models as part of the strategic deals development;
  • Translate data into meaningful and actionable insights to support key business initiatives;
  • Perform copy editing, proofreading, and formatting of all proposal content to produce timely, clear, accurate, creative, and professional documents and submittals;
  • Perform compliance/quality reviews of technical documents;
  • Participate site visits, customer, EPC partners and vendor meetings when required;
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent required
  • 10+ years experience in developing power solutions proposals, integrating diverse technologies, fuels and scope.
Skills Required
  • Strong analytical, data mining and modeling skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of proposal development lifecycle.
  • Proven track record of managing and winning proposals domestic/international.
