DescriptionTHE ROLEReporting to the Service Area Chief Executive (CE) Service Area, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides leadership, direction, plans and policies subject to Board of Trustees approval, and oversight of operational matters for the ministry. Under the general direction of the Service Area CE, the CAO is the key leader of the ministry in partnership with the ministry Senior Leadership to implement the ministry strategic plan and daily operations.Provides a high-level administrative oversight of ministry daily operations including:Monitor, assess and enhance operational processes to achieve key hospital objectives and metricsLeads initiatives that improve resource management, quality of care, safety, and overall stakeholder satisfactionResponsible for the ministry's overall operating budget performance, staff productivity/efficiency, key contracts, and operational accountability for select service lines.Establish and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including physicians, hospital administration, Service Area and Divisional Leadership members, the ministry community board, government officials, region councils, Health Districts, and other key individuals, groups, or organizations required to foster a strong leadership team.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMission and Values: Role models and leads the Mission, Core Values, and Providence Promise daily through language and actionWork with hospital, Board of Trustees, and divisional leadership to promote understanding, communication, and integration of Mission, vision, and values, while building a compelling vision for entity.Regulatory and accreditation: Serves as the executive lead, collaborating with the ministry Chief Medical Officer and Senior Leadership team, when engaging in regulatory or governing organization site surveysResults-Based Leadership: Drives high standards for individual, team, and organizational accomplishment;
