Job Category

QuinStreet is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our product development team. In this role, you will be working on team to continue to enhance QuinStreets Media Marketplace Platform which allows current and prospective clients to buy leads and clicks using a bidding model. As a highly valued team member you will experience incredible job satisfaction as well as personal and professional growth. QA Engineers on the product team are an integral component of product success. The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of digital solutions and software testing techniques to ensure software release quality across all experiences and devices. You will be working with cross-functional teams: Media teams, Creative, Engineering, BI, Data Scientists, Operations etc.


Responsibilities

  • Review functional requirement documentation and Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis to identify problems in design and/or implementation.
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • Participate in QA function of the web platforms, including Systems and Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Performance and Load Testing, Compliance Testing.

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • A keen analyst with thorough understanding of requirements, develop Test Strategy, Test Plan and Project Estimation.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in web applications and API-s QA.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL complex queries, Database testing.
  • Need to have some experience in different types of testing like Web testing, Functional testing, Regression testing, Browser compatibility testing, Usability testing, Interface testing, Performance testing using Jmeter.
  • Good experience in test case and bug management tools.
  • Experience in generating the test data and preparing the weekly status reports, Test Estimation.
  • Experience in preparation of execution status reports and Defect reports.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meeting deadline individually or a team.
  • Experience in Unix and shell scripting.
  • Develop Test Strategy, Test Plan and Project Estimation and review with Business Team.
  • Responsible for identifying, analyzing, measuring, and managing project risks.
  • Ensuring timely delivery and timely communication of status reports and test reports to Business team.

The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 USD to $130,000 USD annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company's compensation practices. The salary may be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location. The position is also eligible to receive performance bonus or commission and equity in the form of restricted stock units. This position is eligible to participate in the Company's standard employee benefits programs, which currently include health care benefits; (2) retirement benefits; (3) the amount of paid days off (paid sick leave, parental leave, paid time off, or vacation benefits); (4) any other tax-reportable benefits.
