Summary:

The QC Coordinator is a supporting role to the Quality Supervisor. The QC Coordinator assists in the performance and monitoring of inspections to ensure Quality Standards are maintained. The QC Coordinator assists in the preparation of job books and other documentation and fulfills the role of Quality Supervisor during period of rotation and PTO.

Requirements:

  • Familiar with and understands how to read design drawings, specifications, installation guides, standard work instructions, benchmarks and inspection and test plans and forms to be used to during the inspection process.
  • Performs 100% inspections on work completed within the scope of work assigned.
  • Inspects applicable equipment and materials for quality.
  • Documents completed inspections appropriately and reviews with site management team/Quality Supervisor to assign corrective actions for work that does not meet specifications, contract requirements or installation guides.
  • Accurately documents the results of audits, inspections, and tests.
  • Reports results of all inspections to the site management team/Quality Supervisor.
  • May initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Observations for issues of vendor non-conformance, workmanship that are reported to the Quality Supervisor for review and tracking.
  • Reviews documentation to assure contents meet project specifications.
  • Assists in assembling quality job books.
  • Assists the site management team/Quality Supervisor in completing inspections.
  • Ensures that the appropriate documentation is gathered and recorded.
  • Assists with tracking inspection and production completion as dictated by the Quality Supervisor.
  • Takes meeting minutes during Quality meeting including SWI Updates, Benchmark Updates, Weekly quality meetings.

Coordinates with inspectors and technicians.

  • Provides routine reports on project quality status and metrics to Project and Corporate Leadership.
  • Follows all Safety and Environmental Protocols and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Operates Company vehicle to oversee site operations.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent experience (equivalent is 2 years) in a construction related field.
  • Proven industrial experience performing QA/QC audits to complete the installation of large industrial/mechanical construction projects.
  • Preferred QA/QC audit experience within the Wind/Solar or Renewable Energy Industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in inspection requirements in at least one discipline (civil, mechanical, foundations, erection, turbines, electrical, etc)
  • Intermediate level of knowledge in:
  • General construction
  • Safety and Environmental concepts
  • Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Procore or other Project Management Software
  • Communication skills
  • Relationship building
  • QA/QC
  • Time management
  • Report writing
  • Maintaining accurate records

Anticipated base salary range: $24.00 - $26.00

The final agreed-upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
