Quality Assurance Team Lead

You will lead Quality Assurance activities related to the preventative, corrective and maintenance portions of the department at the Denver, Colorado facility. You will be responsible for 3-5 direct reports on one or more shifts and the quality assurance program while reporting to the Quality Manager. You will partner on development, implementation, and maintenance of the SQF Program while partnering with the Sanitation Supervisor.

You Will:

• Directly oversee a team of Quality Shift Techs, Lab Techs, and other Quality personnel

• Indirectly oversee Sanitation team on shift

• Assure all Safety procedures are followed by QA and Operations teams including GMP, PPE and LO/TO

• Work with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance and Scheduling to assure all Quality and Food Safety requirements are communicated and achieved

• Assure SQF program requirements are met, prerequisite systems and documents are maintained and training occurs

• Create, review, and revise procedures, work instructions and recording forms

• Oversee and guide QA activities and responsibilities on shift

• Schedule QA team

• Be a back up to QA Manager in ensuring GFCO compliance

• Conduct Food Safety Audits, Mock Recalls, Environmental Audits,

• Assure Scale and Inspection equipment inventory, maintenance, and calibration

• Support development of training programs related to food safety and quality

• Ensure that QA team is trained in all required areas. Lead and support ongoing training and education personally and for the team in Quality, Food Safety, Operations, Statistics and other related areas

• Oversee HACCP program and documentation

• Oversee and ensure completion of Environmental Monitoring Program

• Oversee all microbiological testing and reporting
