- Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or Biology is required.

Understanding of bench-level chemistry in pharmaceutical, food or cosmetic industry is required.

Prior experience with instrumentation (e.g. FTIR, viscosity, pH, TOC, etc.) is required.

The hourly range for this position is $30.67 - $34.61 plus annual bonus.

(External) What You'll Be Doing:
- Run wet chemical assays and/or FTIR analysis per written instructions to test incoming raw materials, and raw materials requiring retest and analysis.
- Perform organoleptic, pH, viscosity, specific gravity, etc. testing on in-process bulk and finished good products.

Review data for thoroughness and accuracy.

Create Certificates of Analysis for Finished Good products.

Complete third-party test lab submission forms and prepare samples (raw materials, bulk, and finished goods) to submit for microbiological testing. Coordinate sample pick-up or shipments as well as follow-up with sample results.

Review test results and if material, bulk or finished goods meet release criteria; perform release.

Perform data trending activities including trending of all data generated in the lab and in production.

Complete the required testing for product lots that have customer complaints. Review the test results and assist with investigation write-up.

Report any deviations from procedures and normal practices to manager. Investigate Out of Specification (OOS) deviations.

Write or revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) for the QC Lab and ensure current processes are captured.

Maintain all lab equipment and instruments in good condition, and within calibration. Perform daily calibration of pH meter, etc.

Attend any recommended training requested by the manager.

Perform other duties as requested by the Quality Supervisor and/or Quality Manager.
