Due to our continued growth we are currently in the market for a highly qualified Quality Engineer for our new manufacturing plant in Cartersville, GA. We need someone that has a hands on approach, a process improvement mindset and will be a part of our continued success

Job Description:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for determining production standards for a company’s products by establishing quality control systems and setting product requirement rules. Include identifying the specifications for an ideal product, determining an appropriate level of variation and monitoring quality assurance rates.

  • Prioritize actions for Six Sigma quality projects using methodologies including Voice of Customer (VOC), Measurement Systems Assessment (MSA), Failure Mode Analysis (FMEA), Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Cause and Effect (C&E), and Control Parameter Management (CPM)
  • Determining quality improvement factors
  • Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of manufacturing processes, products and production equipment.
  • Reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies.
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Working in accordance with deadlines for delivery of products or software.
  • The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

Education/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Must possess the ability to; (1) understand new concepts quickly; (2) determine the appropriate approach; (3) organize, schedule and coordinate work; and (4) communicate results or progress effectively.
  • Preferred experience in leading project teams in a fast paced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of data collection systems and data analysis.
  • Audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results and follow-up.
  • Safety minded.
