Underwriter

The QuoteWell team is exceptional and we’re looking for an exceptional Underwriter to join our team and help us continue to build out wholesale operations with an emphasis on binding authority markets.What You’ll Do• Drive sales and new carrier appointments to grow QuoteWell's footprint• Support the continued evolution of wholesale operations at QuoteWell• Complete licensed-related activity as part of each surplus lines transaction• Interact with Carriers and Agents across the quote-bind-issue portion of the policy lifecycle• Partner with our Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to build solutions to streamline efforts across the full policy lifecycle in the surplus lines spaceWhat You’ll Need• 3+ years of full-time experience in a similar role producing at a wholesaler• Both Texas general and surplus lines licenses• Strong sales / producer abilities• Ability to handle high-volume deals, generating quotes and servicing policies quickly• Excellent communication skills: both in-person and written• Organized and detail oriented• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously• Analytical and problem solving skills• A natural desire to see things through and a history of being scrappy when it counts• A valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionallyWhat We Offer Our Full-time Employees• Competitive salaries + equity in the company• Medical, Dental, and Vision healthcare benefits + FSA and HSA options• Flexible vacation policy to recharge and live life• Paid membership to One Medical for employees, spouses / domestic partners, and dependents• Company-sponsored 401K plan (Roth & Traditional)• Paid parental leave, generous family forming benefits and up to $5,000 of reimbursements through Carrot• Up to $1,000 in home office reimbursements to build a productive space to work remotely• An opportunity to work on solutions that are redefining the future of commercial insurance• A culture driven by a focus on impact, a shared growth mindset, empowered individuals, and integrity
