Ballard Designs is part of the Cornerstone brands - four interactive, aspirational home and apparel lifestyle brands that deliver inspirations that help customers enjoy, enhance and celebrate life.• You will report to our PresidentYour Impact• As a member of Ballard Designs' Leadership Team, participate in setting the direction of the company, protecting its brand equity and respecting its culture• In partnership with department leaders, develop budgets and forecasts aligned with company strategic goals• Provide senior leadership with value added analysis to identify opportunities and risks to financial plans• Improve costs and revenue generation by providing analysis, developing and participation in development of strategic plans• Improve through development of better tools and reporting and effectiveness of the Finance Department• Develop important metrics and related reporting to assure achievement of our our goals• Develop a multi layered team that is specialized but interchangeable/cross-trained that supports the business as financial partners to ensure accurate accounting, reporting and forecasting• Develop and analyze reporting at all levels of the organization to provide clear insight on operational performance including developing financial modeling, financial statement analysis, decision modeling, reporting and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic plans• Analyze daily, weekly and monthly operating statistics• Development of presentations to help summarize progress against identified work streams in a comprehensive and easy-to-understand format• Communicate the results of analysis and strategy to the Brand President, CFO and other important customers.What You Bring• Bachelor's Degree in Business (Finance or Accounting)• 7 or more years of experience including budgeting and financial planning.• Retail background preferred.• Strong analytical and excellent communication skills and skills necessary to work with multiple levels of management.Remote work is not permitted in NYC at this time.#LI-MLH#LI-HybridIt is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
