About Role:

We are looking for a VP of Engineering who will define and execute a long-term engineering strategy that aligns with the company's goals, providing technical leadership across software development and infrastructure. This role ensures the timely delivery of high-quality product features, evaluates and implements tools and processes to improve efficiency, and promotes cross-functional collaboration with product, client success, and other departments. This position will partner with Product Management to define and prioritize the engineering roadmap, communicate technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders, and represent the engineering team in customer and investor meetings. Additionally, they will oversee engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation to optimize team capacity and performance. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of engineering experience with 3-5+ years in an engineering leadership role (e.g., Director, VP) in relevant AI and/or healthcare company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Leadership and Strategy: 

    • Define and execute the long-term engineering strategy in alignment with company strategy and goals.

    • Provide technical leadership and vision for software engineering development and infrastructure, across platform

  • Team Development and Management

    • Build, mentor, and lead a world-class engineering team.

    • Establish performance benchmarks, review processes, and career development plans for team members.

    • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.

  • Technology Execution

    • Ensure timely delivery of product features while maintaining quality standards.

    • Evaluate and implement new tools, processes, and methodologies to improve efficiency.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

    • Promote collaboration and communication across product, client success and other departments; communicate technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders.

    • Partner with Product Management and other teams to define and prioritize the engineering roadmap; and deliver engineering sprints 

    • Represent the engineering team in customer and investor meetings.

  • Resource Management: 

    • Oversee engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and capacity planning and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 10+ years of engineering experience with a proven track record of leading large teams, successful product launches, and  scaling systems/infrastructure

    • 3-5+ years in an engineering leadership role (e.g., Director, VP) in relevant AI and/or healthcare company

  • Technical Skills:

    • Deep knowledge of software development best practices, lifecycle, architecture, and emerging technologies.

    • Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and scalable system design

    • Experience with AI/ML platforms and production systems.

    • Experience with healthcare (or similar regulated industry ) security and compliance best practices

  • Soft Skills:

    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

    • Excellent communication and ability to influence across all levels of an organization.

    • Proven ability to drive alignment across diverse teams and stakeholders.
