This is a hybrid position, based out of our NYC office.

Salary: $125-175k + 6% matching 401K and 100% coverage for healthcare, dental, and vision.
Focusing on one client at a time, you will partner with their technology and business teams to develop a strong knowledge of their businesses and the challenges they face
You will be working with huge systems with multiple components and interconnections, learning new languages quickly to aid problem solving… this isn’t just doing tickets!
You are on a daily fact finding mission to find the information that you need to the solve problems your client is facing
You will be building specific domain knowledge to understand the business context that drives your client’s decisions further than a specific tech stack
Be comfortable engaging with the client stakeholders when needed
Have experience in a broad range of software development modalities (backend, frontend, ops, and consulting skills –functional programming is a plus!)
Have experience with at least one common server-side programming language. Currently, many of our projects are built with TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js. But, Java/Scala/Kotlin, Clojure and Python are also used
Have a strong knowledge of at least one common client-side language and framework. We often use TypeScript/JavaScript and React on our web app projects and Swift, Java/Scala/Kotlin, or TypeScript/JavaScript React-native on mobile
Demonstrate a know-how on databases, SQL experience is a must!
Show a foundational knowledge in DevOps, including Continuous Integration (CI), automated deployment, and test automation
Have built relevant skills to create new backend services and build CI/CD pipelines when the project requires
Have CCS experience specifically AWS, optimizing Kubernetes clusters or other set of servers
We don’t have a hard limit with years of experience, but we’ve noticed that these competencies usually take 6-10 years to accumulate.
Your experience working on huge systems with multiple components and interconnections. For example, a git repo of 300GB+, system w/ multiple services, etc.
When you have previously gathered requirements from stakeholders/clients and dealt with uncertainty comfortably
Your business and product mindset, as it’s helpful when communicating with clients
Times when you have jumped into older legacy systems sometimes using outdated technologies, and built not built optimally and solved problems and improved the system either through incremental changes or a full transformation
