Staff Power Electronics Engineer

Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design and develop high voltage, high power density motor controllers for eVTOL applications.

Skills

Inverter technology for variable speed motor drive
Power electronics system architecture design
Motor control and commutation methods
Experience with 50kW-200kW inverters
Experience with schematic capture and circuit simulation software
Excellent in lab instruments such as oscilloscope

Responsibilities

Design and develop high voltage, high power density motor controller for eVTOL applications
Passive component design and optimization in power electronics systems
EMC testing and analysis for various power electronics systems
Lead new designs from conception into production
Prototype verification tests for proof of concept
Analyze test data and reports to ensure design meets specifications
Troubleshoot and root cause any prototype issues

Education

Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent experience
