About the role:


We're currently seeking a Recruiter to join our People Ops team at Marco Polo to help us create a dream team that thrives and maximizes our purpose. A great candidate for this role is a self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities at once. The person in this role will be responsible for partnering with hiring leads across the company to help us source, interview and hire quality candidates to help our team grow.


What you'll do:


  • Provide full-cycle recruiting: You’ll develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to attract and engage diverse talent. You’ll screen resumes and conduct initial screens, representing Marco Polo’s culture and values. You’ll organize and schedule interviewers with our hiring team, coaching both hiring managers and the interviewing team on building a “best in class” interview process and ensuring our process is fair and consistent. You’ll keep the candidate experience always top of mind, building and maintaining relationships with both current and future candidates.
  • Participate in Recruiting Program Management: You’ll partner collaboratively with our other Recruiter to build and manage Recruiting-related programs. This will likely include interview training, data management, employer branding and community building, to name a few. 
  • Assist the larger People Ops team: While Recruiting is your primary passion and focus, you’re excited by all things People Ops related. You’ll partner with the larger People Ops team to build and maintain People Ops programs and systems as needed. This may include anything from onboarding to total rewards to culture and values. You’re excited to provide support wherever it is needed! 
  • Be a champion of Marco Polo purpose, culture and values: You’ll play an active part in building a collaborative, inclusive and cohesive culture that is team-driven, values-driven and highly passionate about our purpose. You’ll embody and champion these in all your conversations, and help us find others who are just as excited and as passionate about what we are building.


About you:


  • 2+ years of experience in a Recruiting position or an equivalent level of experience that enables you to meet the job requirements.
  • Experience recruiting for software engineers and/or product roles in a tech company is a plus. 
  • A passion for learning new tools, skills and responsibilities. 
  • Experience managing confidential information with absolute trust and integrity.
  • A track record of being highly organized, detail-oriented and adaptable. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A passion for providing strong customer service. 
  • Experience as part of an internal People Ops/HR team is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Google Apps preferred (Gmail, Google Calendar, Docs, etc).
  • The ability to jump from task to task multiple times a day and not lose sight of priorities.
