To achieve our mission, we need to make net-zero carbon housing more affordable and we are re-imagining how housing is designed and built. Our modular building platform and highly-automated production system will drive down cost, delivery time, and embodied carbon for ADUs and multifamily housing. We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Associate responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and organization of materials within a manufacturing environment, specifically for a company specializing in the factory-built home industry. This role includes managing incoming shipments, ensuring materials are properly received and stored,conducting stock control activities including cycle counts. The role includes moving materials both internally and externally and filling of warehouse and line side stock bins. The Inventory Control Associate may assist with material ordering and supporting vendor managed inventory programs. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and the ability to handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds and operate forklifts.
Incoming Receiving & Put Away: Verify and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies, ensuring accurate documentation. Perform quality checks and enter received items into the inventory system, storing them properly in designated areas.
Stock Control & Warehousing: Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and effective space utilization. Manage stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Cycle Counting: Conduct cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy, investigating discrepancies and working with the inventory manager to adjust records as needed.
Bin Filling & Material Conveyance: Organize and fill storage bins, move materials within the facility, and assist with material delivery to production areas.
Material Ordering Assistance: Track material needs and notify inventory or procurement teams about low stock levels. Assist in maintaining reorder levels and placing orders as directed.
General Warehouse Support: Maintain warehouse cleanliness, adhere to safety protocols, and assist with loading/unloading trucks and operating material handling equipment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or material handling roles (preferably in manufacturing or construction).
Basic knowledge of inventory control and systems; experience with inventory management software is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
Good communication skills.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience with inventory control software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or other ERP systems).
Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations.
Manufacturing warehouse environment with exposure to materials and equipment.
Physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting, and operating material handling equipment for extended periods.
Some overtime or weekend work may be required based on production schedules and inventory needs.
Basic math skills for inventory recording.
