All regular faculty and staff serving at Regent and working a minimum of 30 hours per week will receive an attractive benefits package.The Videographer/Editor will have the skills and expertise to edit and capture visual/audio concepts, provide creative input, establish standards, workflows, and protocols while producing national network quality multimedia packages for Regent University. The Videographer/Editor will collaborate and work underneath the Producer. This position will also operate state-of-the-art video cameras, field and studio lighting, grip, and audio production equipment. As the Editor, this position will operate editing equipment and related software.Essential duties:• Serve as the primary or secondary videographer for video projects.• Record and capture national network quality location and soundstage video productions as a member of a production team.• Record and capture proper camera video levels by utilizing scopes and monitors.• Perform sequence composing shots while collaborating with the Producer and Director to capture different camera position setups to achieve project visions and consistent footage.• Identify, analyze, and operate lighting fixtures and grip equipment to achieve the desired look and compliment a project's narratives and visual style.• Record and capture proper field audio levels and make timely decisions regarding proper microphone equipment and accessories as needed.• Edit 4K and higher resolution video, images, and accompanying audio in relation to the desired production goal.• Ensure quality control and assurance are met throughout each assigned project.• Export assigned projects for delivery and finishing.• Actively collaborate with video team members during project pre-production stages to establish and maintain creative partnerships within the department.• Attend and actively participate in location scouts for production determination needs alongside the Producer and Director.• Identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills on industry trends, equipment, practices, and new technological innovations related to all areas of production.• Maintain consistent Regent branding across all projects according to the designated delivery platform for the assigned project.• Assist in maintaining Marketing’s photo, video, and audio equipment by performing regular inventory checks.• Manage and maintain video footage and project assets according to the video archival process.• Collaborate with student workers and graduate assistants.Qualifications:• A Bachelor's or graduate degree in film, communication, or related discipline; equivalent work experience may be substituted in place of a degree• A minimum of 2 years of professional video experience• A current portfolio highlighting quality of work is required• Must possess an expert understanding of video/photo production, video editing, and workflow• Experience with video production software such as Adobe Premier Pro is required• Must be skilled in color perception with fine attention to visual and composition details and have the ability to color correct video as necessary• Demonstrated competency with digital audio editing and mixing techniques• Drone certification preferredCandidate must have:• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and professionalism• Creative team player mentality• Commitment to Regent's core values of Excellence, Innovation, and IntegrityRegent University does not discriminate in employment in its programs or activities on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, sex, disability, age or veteran status.
