Regional Employment & Compliance Consultant, NA/LATAM

About the job:
The Red Hat Global Employment team is looking for a Regional Employment and HR Compliance Consultant, NA/LATAM to join us in Florida. In this role, you contribute to the development of People Team program philosophies, designs and approaches. Your success will be measured by delivering a great internal customer experience through outstanding service and partnership and by adding value to our global People Team programs by analyzing requirements, making decisions, and advising key Red Hat stakeholders.
What you will do:
  • Conduct research to understand local/regional HR compliance requirements for PT functions and PT programs and their impact on our business
  • Consult on legal requirements and impact of changes to employment programs and employment documents for the respective region
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for local / regional People (HR) team members
  • Contribute to change management
  • Contribute to enablement materials
  • Lead compliance efforts for PT programs for respective region
  • Provide legal and compliance input to internal knowledge base for respective region
  • Guide employment setup for company expansions into new territories
  • support external audits in local country
  • support local execution of governmental reportings
  • point of contact for local governmental authorities and institutions related to Employment and PT topics / programs
What you will bring:
  • Legal or law Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience working in compliance-focused HR roles OR experienced HR professional with affinity and experience in compliance and legal topics
  • Extensive experience of legal landscape in one of the following countries/regions: Brazil, Argentina or Mexico with additional experience at least one other LATAM country
  • Experience drafting legal documents, memos, and procedures
  • Significant research and writing experience, including the ability to analyze data and arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action
  • Demonstrated understanding of global employment law and regulations and their impact on business operations
  • Ability to build credible relationships / partnerships across multiple functions with international partners at varying levels of the company
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize shifting demands
  • Ability to respect confidentiality within the team and throughout the organization
  • Detail-oriented with solid research and analytical skills while seeing the big picture and being able to think strategically
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills in English and Spanish
  • Project management skills is a plus
