Regional People Operations Manager - EMEA

Position Overview

Brightcove is looking to hire a Regional People Operations Manager to support our Human Resources (HR) team to cover the EMEA region. In this role, you will partner with HR Leadership and the business to identify root causes of various issues, design and implement solutions across multiple disciplines.This role needs a solution oriented person to work with employees and leaders and will be responsible for local coverage in areas from onboarding/off-boarding, facilitating employee changes (promotions, etc.), demonstrating local, federal and global employment law understanding, as well as recruitment of key roles for the region.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and oversee the site level execution of defined projects around talent planning, performance review, career development, employee development, diversity, retention and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Play a proactive role in employee retention: ensure positive employee relations, encourage a motivated workforce and assist in scaling our culture. Address and manage employee relations issues fairly, thoroughly, and proactively.
  • Partner with the HR Business Partner to facilitate the annual Performance Review Cycle within the EMEA region.
  • Proactively assess team, manager, organizational development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Translate business needs to HR and keep the business unit leadership updated on all HR programs and processes.
  • Support and help implement engagement programs that are consistent with the strategic needs of the business and continue to build an extraordinary employee experience from new hire onboarding to off-boarding.
  • Interpret metric to provide sound data analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the Legal team to stay knowledgeable of employment law requirements to ensure that Brightcove remains compliant with contracts etc.
  • Support the immigration and visa processes and requirements of candidates and employees as needed.
  • Document and facilitate employee changes and employee statistics for internal and compliance tracking purposes. Maintain compliance with employment and legal paperwork, disclosures, required training, etc.
  • Work across cultural and geographical boundaries, and build HR approaches that deliver value across diverse global markets. Interact, influence, and collaborate across different cultures, languages, and time zones.

Qualifications/Experience

  • 5-10+ years experience providing broad based HR support to managers and employees on employee relations, staffing, compensation, HR policies, and performance management.
  • Familiarity with local employment and wage law.
  • Passionate about owning outcomes and driving high quality results that build an extraordinary employee experience.
  • Program management skills - ability to lead and work effectively across diverse teams, apply rigor and drive forward progress to measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and partner effectively across organizational and geographical boundaries.
  • Ability to navigate complexity and thrive in a fast paced and changing environment using strong judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion; maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Google Suite, experience with Namely and Greenhouse would be helpful.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate into actionable insights and actions.
  • English fluency is required. Additional local languages are considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience working remote to a US based headquarters is a plus.
