Remote - Data Analytics Director

Overview:

Property Insight is looking for a Data Analytics Director that will manage the processes and people responsible for large scan data conversion ensuring accurate data collection, processing, modeling, and analysis. The qualified candidate should have a knack for seeing solutions in data sets and the business mindset to convert insights into strategic opportunities for our company.

The Data Analytics Director will be an integral part of the FNF title plant expansion initiative replacing traditional data entry with intelligent data relationships. The position will be responsible for exploring new ways of aggregating data while staying on an aggressive timeline and budget.

Duties:

Manage and supervise a team of data analysts
Coordinate the historical conversion of various external data sources for ingestion into a standardized schema
Manage the ingestion of current updates to the data from the external sources including updates to formats received and improvements to the ingestion processing.
Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics supporting key business decisions.
Design and build technical processes to address business issues.
Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics.
Recruit, train, develop and supervise analyst-level employees.
Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of reporting employees with comprehensive policies and processes.
Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modeling, visualization and communication deliverables.
Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, sales, marketing and product teams.
Oversee the data/report requests process; tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc.
Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the company.
Develops and manages information to support corporate decision making
Manages and improves existing reporting systems
Conducts and facilitates (and educates and trains on) analyses, issues identification, organizational risk assessments and decision making processes
Provides consulting and analytic services to leadership
Provides technical support and mentoring and training to less-senior analysts
Develops methodology and process for prioritization and scheduling of projects
Analyzes problems and determines root causes
Defines company data assets (data models), spark, sparkSQL, and hiveSQL jobs to populate data models
Works closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, computer science, management information systems or related field or equivalent related experience.

Experience:

15+ years data analyst or related experience, including proficiency with analytical software or equivalent related education
5+ years leading large scale data conversions
At least 8 years of experience in a position monitoring, managing, manipulating and drawing insights from data
At least 5 years of experience leading a team.
Proficiency in statistics, data analysis and research methods.
