Apply now!Job SummaryThe Sr. Budget Operations Analyst will be responsible forproviding financial analysis in support of the AVP for FinancialPlanning and Budget and the Budget Director. This will includemonitoring financial activity for use in the development of theannual operating budgets, capital budgets, maintenance of thebudget access model for quarterly forecasts and annual budgetpreparation, and monitoring policy compliance. In addition, theAnalyst will be responsible for managing the daily financialoperations of the Finance portfolio and serve as a resource to theFinance leadership team and staff to ensure consistent financialand budgeting practices that comply with Institute and Portfolioguidelines.Minimum Qualifications• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relatedfield• Five (5) years of relevant experience to including three (3)years of work experience in the administration, monitoring andmanagement of research and/or other closely related types ofrestricted funds• Familiarity with federal and state government regulations asthey pertain to research administrationRelevant combinations of education, training and experience may beconsidered.Preferred Qualifications• Experience managing the administrative and business functionsfor a complex university research center, including budgetpreparation, proposal preparation, financial management, and humanresources• Proposal development and management experienceMinimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Knowledge of or ability to develop a thorough understanding ofInstitute and sponsor rules and regulations• Ability to analyze and interpret reports, documents andstatistical data• Ability to perform budget reporting and forecasting, as well asaccount reconciliation• Knowledge of financial software, including spreadsheet,database, and data warehouse applications• Proficiency in MS Office Suite software applications• Ability to learn and/or use SCT Banner finance, positioncontrol and labor modules or other appropriate applications• Knowledge of fund-based budgeting• Excellent verbal and written communications skills• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines• Ability to work as independently and as part of a team• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsShiftBusiness Hours: Monday - FridayStarting Salary/RateExpected hiring range: $75,000 - $85,000 per yearPay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salarywill be determined based on factors that include the availablebudget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications,experience, education and other job-related credentials.
