Summary:
The newly established Centre of Excellence (CoE) will operate the IFS Cloud ERP platform and an integrated landscape of complementary technologies, supporting the business in achievement of their strategies and enabling business change and transformation efforts.
The IFS Developer will be integral to the deployment, management, and optimization of the IFS ERP system, providing enhanced IFS systems functionality by configuring custom attributes, fields, BPA Workflows, Quick Reports, and Lobbies.
Requirements:
System development, Configuration & Management:
- Collaborate with business, functional and support colleagues to gather business needs and translate them into clear technical specifications and delivered solutions.
- Maintain a prioritised backlog of platform, process and application changes.
- Conduct system development, build and configuration activity (Configuration, Reports, Integrations and Modifications) within controlled settings such as IFS Build Place and Use Place.
- Conduct comprehensive unit testing to guarantee accurate and successful deliveries.
- Work with the Platform and Environment Manager to ensure the reliability, performance and security of the environments adhere to best practice.
- Utilized IFS Developer Studio to customize IFS Cloud functionalities, including custom fields, custom LU, Aurena pages, and business workflow modifications, to enhance user experience and automate processes using Oracle PL/SQL.
- Oversee system provisioning, configuration, and integration with other tools and platforms.
- Develop and maintained seamless integrations between IFS Cloud and external systems using IFS Connect and Boomi.
- Design and generate customized reports using IFS Business Reporter
Business Process:
- Develop a strong understanding of business process to ensure system configuration is optimally aligned.
- Identify opportunities to exploit product features that could enable process efficiencies.
Monitoring & Performance Optimization:
- Implement and manage monitoring solutions to track system performance, availability, and health.
- Analyze telemetry, performance metrics and logs to identify and resolve issues proactively.
Collaboration & Support:
- Assist in the design and preparation of technical specifications, project documentation, workflow analysis to meet system and project needs.
- Work closely with other development teams to support system development and deployment activities.
- Provide 3rd line technical support for system issues, including troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems.
- Work closely with other IT teams, business units, and external vendors to resolve issues and implement changes.
- Communicate effectively with users and stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of system status and support activities.
DevOps Implementation & Automation:
- Contribute to the design and implementation of DevOps practices for the IFS Cloud ERP system, including continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for system deployments, configuration management, and monitoring.
Evolution of the Centre of Excellence:
- Contribute to the establishment of the CoE by defining and documenting DevOps best practices and standards.
- Support knowledge transfer and training initiatives to ensure smooth integration of DevOps practices within the CoE, including shift left opportunities to the CoE Application Support.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement and manage security measures in line with organizational policies to protect the IFS system and associated data.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Stay current on IFS product updates and industry best practices to provide informed support.
- Stay informed about emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and industry trends to drive innovation and continuously improve practices.
- Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives related to system enhancements and integrations.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and process improvement.
- Provide on-call support as needed for critical integration issues and system outages.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, statistics, mathematics, economics, or related field preferred.
- 3 or more years' experience with IFS 10 or IFS Cloud required.
- 5 or more years’ experience with ERP platforms or similar required.
- Ability to travel domestically 5 to 15% required.
Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of the ERP applications and their architecture, with functional and technical expertise in at least one of the following IFS areas, and enthusiastic to broaden your understanding across other areas: Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Projects, Human Capital Management, Asset and Service Management
- Understanding of IFS Solutions Manager related functionality, profiles and permissions setup.
- Ability to perform workflow automations using IFS Events and Migration jobs, Custom Configurations, Lobbies and Reporting.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles, tools, and methodologies.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices, automation, and cloud computing.
- Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and project delivery frameworks.
- Proficient in applying ITILv3 good practice, such as Incident Management, Change Management, etc., to all essential functions and responsibilities.
Skills:
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell and PL/SQL.
- IFS Developer Studio, IFS Business Reporter, Build Place, Solution.
- Manager, Azure DevOps, Git, ServiceNow.
- Ability to analyze system performance and troubleshoot complex issues.
Abilities:

Anticipated base salary range: $102,000 - $120,000
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is bonus eligible.
