Research Assistant

Responsibilities

The Emergency Department research team is seeking a Research Assistant to support our work. We are growing our dynamic team who support a variety of clinical trials and epidemiological surveillance research conducted in the fast-paced Emergency Department. Our work is clinically focused and members of the research team work in-person in the Emergency Department alongside clinical providers. Our Principal Investigators (PIs) conduct studies in partnership with two multicenter research networks: the CDC-sponsored New Vaccine Surveillance Network and the HRSA-sponsored Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN). The Research Assistant will help screen and enroll eligible participants, collect primary prospective survey data, maintain study files, review and abstract clinical data, manage participant biospecimens, and enter data and maintain databases. This position will require working evening and weekend shifts.

Requirements

Required Education/Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent experience.- Two (2) years of college-level coursework and related experience.Required Credentials: - Any position that requires the use of a motor vehicle will require a current Washington State Driver's license. Preferred: - Bachelor's degree in biological or life sciences or health related field.- At least three (3) years in a research or health care setting.- Familiarity with US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.- Knowledge of medical terminology.

Min to Max Hourly Salary

$19.90 - $29.86 /hr

Min to Max Annual Salary

$41,392.00 - $62,108.80 /yr

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children's offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
