Position Summary:
The Endocrine Disruption and Chemical Biology Laboratory (EDC Lab) is recruiting a Research Assistantto join our team in Fall 2023. Our research bridges reproductive biology, toxicology, and sustainable chemistry to study the mechanisms by which environmental chemicals act as endocrine disruptors. Specifically, we combine chemical biology techniques with in vitro mouse models of the female reproductive system to study environmentally relevant mixtures of chemical toxicants.
Essential Functions:
The Research Assistant will execute synthetic chemistry experiments, manage chemical ordering and inventory, and facilitate daily laboratory operations. As a member of the team, the Research Assistant will perform experiments, analyze results, present locally and nationally, receive mentorship from the PI, and be a part of an inclusive environment that supports creativity, professional development, and scientific discovery.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- BA/BS in a scientific discipline minimum, MS preferred.
- Chemistry laboratory experience, synthesis experience preferred.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
