Reports to: Manager of Transitional Living

Position Description

This hourly, full-time, benefited position assists with the overall operations of Madonna House, a program for pregnant women, and St. Elizabeth Lodge, a program for single, working moms. Position requires morning and evening shifts with occasional weekends.

The mission of Catholic Charities' Transitional Living program is to restore stability, purpose and hope in the lives of single mothers and their children.

Ministerial

• As a ministerial representative of CCEOK, it is expected that both professional and social behavior be aligned with the ethical and moral standards of the Catholic Church
• Pray daily for the needs of the poor; opportunities include personal prayer, daily Mass, and/or adoration
• Willingness to learn how to articulate Catholic teaching with a commitment to its application in the job function
• Build a common culture of ministry and management/program operations

Leadership

• Handle incoming calls and referrals
• Monitor resident checkouts and behavior with compassion
• Provide Life skills, support and coaching to the residents
• Record keeping of all client records and training
• Assist with donations and goods
• Responsible for general cleaning of living area, and preparing rooms for new residents
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds
• Duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience in residential, housing, or transitional living program preferred
• Relationship management and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Problem solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
• PC literate, Word, Excel, Outlook and internet usage
• Detail oriented, with ability to maintain confidential information and records
• Professional and positive approach
