Job Description

The Resource Management Office Lead is responsible for the fulfillment of our mission and vision through how we place our incredibly talented Rezzers on the highest and best projects in our portfolio. In this role, your department would be responsible for the utilization of our project resources; able to speak to billable and non-billable value add. Additionally, your team would be responsible for continuous improvement to improve utilization. This position would oversee a team of RMs who manage portfolios of resources. In addition, you would leverage your understanding of Resultant verticals to positively influence resourcing decisions with the goal of balancing workload, optimizing utilization, promoting flexibility, and providing broad-based experiences and developmental opportunities while balancing firm and client needs.

This department has matured substantially in the last two years since its inception. With near real-time dashboards and key weekly meetings with sales and delivery, it is an exciting opportunity for anyone who’s been in the RMO space for a while and is extremely data-driven. We have a vision for the department and are open to the right leader bringing their fresh perspective to this position.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The following list is critical to the role.  Other actions, duties, and responsibilities may be required, as needed.

  • Lead the RMO team as they take on managing the day-to-day tasks of staffing new projects and adjusting staffing on projects as requests come in
  • With your team and leadership, implement key insight metrics the business has requested for the next year, shaping the design and rollout of said metrics
  • Understand the internal customer experience working with the RMO, and work to provide continuous improvement to the department processes and delivery
  • Support any efforts to evaluate rate accuracy and rate changes to ensure we are getting the right value in the market commiserate with our talented Rezzers
  • Develop strategies to maximize resource utilization while maintaining alignment with client needs and organizational goals
  • Understand the data quality needs the organization has around RMO and ensure accuracy is consistently trustworthy

Key Collaborations

In this role, you must be integrated into the organization. Understanding which resources are capable of what contractual obligations for the organization introduces assurance or risk of delivery at scale. Key Collaborators include:

  • Delivery Leaders to support them as they seek to make sure their teams are fully utilized
  • Sales to understand upcoming resourcing needs against proper confidence levels
  • Finance to review utilization data for weekly improvements
  • Partner with HR/Talent/Operations to understand areas of improvement around processes impacting our resources
  • Partner with executive team on Strategy to ensure the right resourcing to bring about our strategy as an organization

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in resource management, project management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in driving strategic outcomes
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform decision-making
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools and software applications
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
