Revenue Cycle Business Analyst (Remote)

Surgical Notes is hiring for a Revenue Cycle Business Analyst to provide data driven insights and actionable information to drive improvement, increase efficiency, and implement best practices in revenue cycle operations. The ideal candidate has excellent organizational skills, communication skills, with the desire and ability to learn quickly. Working as a part of the team to meet deadlines, but also being able to work independently is crucial to the success in this position. Reports to: SVP, RCM Solutions and Client Experience


Responsibilities:


  • Provides technical support and expertise for end users and team members on self-service reporting tools, in collaboration with direct manager
  • Documents, leads training and education of end users and team members
  • Work with developing solutions to operational and billing functions through collaboration with other departments
  • Provides operational data analysis to generate insights that advance RCM initiatives and improve performance.
  • Develops and maintains reports, templates, and dashboards that provide enhanced insight and improve organizational decision-making
  • Assist in special projects and other duties if required
  • Follows best practices for presenting and utilizes correct template and formatting to provide consistent and easy to understand data analysis
  • Seeing processes through from start to finish in terms of gathering data, communicating with stakeholders, implementation, and post-implementation plans
  • Meet with project teams on an ongoing basis, facilitate project team next steps through data driven findings on a facilitator and/or (data) analytical support level
  • Compiles ad hoc data analytics and deep dive requests
  • Prepare, analyze and maintain key revenue metrics performance indicators for VP of RCM to identify trends for further review
  • Analyze, validate, and research anomalies and cross-reference data with other systems
  • Auditing of Revenue Cycle
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

  • Remote: The minimum bandwidth requirements are 10 Mbps upload and 50 Mbps download speeds. The recommended bandwidth requirements are 20 Mbps upload and 100 Mbps download speeds


Job Requirements:


Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of A/R and RCM process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Extensive Excel experience and advanced knowledge of Excel capabilities
  • Strong knowledge of electronic billing systems for front end and back-end functions and the willingness to learn new systems, applications, and programs.
  • Ability to work independently and follow-through and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and speed while working within tight deadlines
  • Exceptional ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • A high degree of flexibility and professionalism
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Outstanding communications skills; both verbal and written


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Education:


  • Experience working in an Ancillary/Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Outlook, and Teams


Physical Demands:


  • Sitting and typing for an extended period of time
  • Reading from a computer screen for an extended period of time
  • Speaking and listening on a telephone
  • Working independently
  • Frequent use of a computer and other office equipment
  • Work environment of a traditional fast-paced and deadline-oriented office

US Pay Ranges

$64,480—$70,000 USD
