Position Summary
The Senior Business Analyst, Supply Chain Design will participate in projects that combine operations research, optimization, and simulation. Provide structured and creative analysis to identify distribution network improvement opportunities and to support our future growth strategies. Accomplishes team objectives by actively engaging with other functions in the business to validate modelling scenarios is representative of the real-world operations. Become an expert user of the Llamasoft supply chain software as the primary modelling tool for scenario modelling.
Position
Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To
• Lead or is actively involved in the development of scenario modelling representing either the current network or potential scenarios
• Ensure data and assumptions used as part of modelling techniques are suitable and vetted by business leads
• Document modeling approach, data sources, transformations, assumptions and constraints for review and future development
• Responsible for evaluation of model outputs including physical product flows, operational metrics, and financial outcomes
• Prepare internal and external presentations of modelling outputs as part of future strategy communication
• Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels including but not limited to:
Strategy, Operations, Finance and Supply Chain teams
• Assist in the acquisition of potential new business partner projects
• Provide market research and analysis to determine risks, benefits, and timelines
• Other projects or duties as assigned
Required Skills And Experience
• Bachelors’ degree and 4+ years’ experience in business analytics, operations research, industrial engineering, supply chain management, mathematics, or actuary science OR a High School Diploma with 7+ years’ experience in related fields
• Knowledge of distribution operations, supply chain planning and design including facilities, product flows, core processes and performance metrics
• Expertise in data analysis including a high proficiency in Excel
• Prior experience in database querying and building (SQL, Alteryx, Visual Studio)
• Prior experience with data visualization tools (Power
BI, Tableau, One Click)
• Understanding of simulation and the differences between optimization and simulation
• Analytical and conceptual thinking with the ability to creatively solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop business cases justifying strategic and tactical actions
• Ability to translate operational activities into models and specifications
• Must be comfortable working in global environments
• Must be capable of national and limited international travel
• Travel could be up to 30%, up to 50% in the first three months
• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Skills And Experience
• Master’s degree or equivalent experience in industrial engineering, operations research, or supply chain management
• Previously trained in use of the Llamasoft tools (Supply Chain Guru, Data Guru)
• Prior experience with Snowflake
• Previous supply chain consulting experience
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems, Transportation Management/Routing Systems, Warehouse Management System, Customer Relationship Management Systems, Business Intelligence
