About the Role

RISC Zero is expanding our marketing team, seeking a Social Media & Community Manager to amplify our voice and nurture our growing audience and community across various social platforms, focusing primarily on Boundless. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands crypto culture, and can translate complex technical narratives into engaging content that resonates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with our Head of Communications and Brand on social media strategy and execution across platforms, transforming campaign strategies into compelling content to drive awareness and engagement. Aligning tone and messaging across multiple channels

  • Drive data-informed decisions through social listening and analytics

  • Create visually engaging content (Figma/Canva) that simplifies complex ZK concepts and tailor them to fit different audiences and distribution channels

  • Manage community engagement across platforms, supporting the community team in fostering meaningful conversations

  • Amplify and coordinate virtual and IRL community events with the team (AMAs, webinars, meetups)

  • Bridge community insights back to product and strategy teams

  • Collaborate with marketing, community, BD, and product teams on broader initiatives

Top Initiatives You’ll Own  (over the first 3-6 months)

  • Mindshare Metrics: Increasing the number of mentions and discussions about Boundless organically, as well as growing the follower count on social media platforms.

  • Engagement Metrics: Focus on engagement and impressions on social media, as well as follow-up engagements in different channels where Boundless is shared.

    Community Growth: The community is growing, particularly on platforms like Telegram and Discord, ensuring that the community is composed of high-quality developers.

  • Community Engagement: Ensuring that the community remains engaged and that the conversations are relevant and ongoing, particularly as the community evolves from being developer-heavy to including more non-technical participants.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working on crypto projects (minimum 2 years in the space)

  • Strong writing skills and the ability to simplify complex topics

  • Self-starter mentality with ability to move fast and adapt

  • Strong perspective on crypto landscape

  • Crypto-native understanding and cultural fluency

  • Active presence on crypto Twitter/X

  • Experience managing and growing communities (Discord, Telegram, Twitter/X)

  • Proficiency with content creation tools (Canva, Figma)

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Twitter Analytics) to track community and social performance.

Nice to Have

  • Deep understanding of ZK technology and ecosystem

  • Proven track record in building audiences and communities

  • Established relationships in crypto
