We’re in growth mode and looking to add an experienced Risk Operations Analyst. This position will report to the VP, Head of Risk. We are looking for an accomplished risk management professional to help PayNearMe scale our risk management capabilities.
The candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies to identify, analyze and mitigate risk throughout the PayNearMe payments ecosystem which includes our merchants, banking partners, and vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience across multiple payment verticals (bill payment, lending, gaming, etc.), have a passion for the payments industry, and high ethical standards. It is important to have a sound commercial perspective as well, demonstrating the ability to balance risk and reward as the business grows. The goal is to provide the business with timely risk KPI’s to help manage and prioritize the allocation of critical operational and development resources as well as ensure compliance with industry best practice.
- Access, and integrity of data necessary to drive timely risk and operational KPI’s
- Design, testing, and production of daily, monthly, quarterly risk and operational KPI’s
- Interpretation of KPI trends vs. internal targets, industry best practice, regulatory expectations, and payment network rules
- Documentation of comprehensive operational and risk metrics to serve as second line of defense for internal control purposes which will be subject to internal and external (third line of defense) audits
- Application of leading techniques to identify anomalies, forecast trends, and leverage data
- Internal Publication of risk and operational KPI’s for key partners (Compliance, Finance, Product, Information Security, Account Management, Operational Support functions, etc.)
Requirements
- Proven experience as payment and operational risk management professional
- Knowledge of payment system and operational risk best practices
- Excellent knowledge of data management, reporting tools, controls design
- A passion for understanding the data and sharing the story behind the numbers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Risk Management, Data Analytics, and Payment Industry Certifications preferred
Location: Flexible/Remote
Travel: Twice a year to headquarters (COVID-19 permitting)

Salary Range: $75,000 - 100,000

The Company collects identifiers and professional or employment-related information, which may include some or all the following: real name, nickname or alias, postal address, telephone number, e-mail address, membership in professional organizations, professional certifications, language skills, and current and past employment history. The Company collects this Personal Information to evaluate previous job performance and consider applicants for positions, to develop a talent pool and plan for succession, to conduct applicant surveys, to maintain an internal applicant directory and for purposes of identification, to promote the Company as a place to work, and for workforce reporting and data analytics/trend analysis.

- Background Screening Information. In the event that an applicant is given a formal job offer, the Company collects background screening information prior to hiring, including results of the following types of background screening: criminal history; sex offender registration; motor vehicle records; credit history; employment history; drug testing; and educational history. The Company collects this Personal Information to screen for risks to the Company and its clients, and continued suitability for their jobs and to evaluate applicants for promotions.
