Tax Advisory - M&A Senior Associate

As an M&A Senior Associate in our Tax Advisory practice, you will be part of a team working hand in hand with our clients to help them navigate the dynamic tax challenges associated with mergers and acquisitions. You won’t work on compliance and returns here! Instead, you will tackle a variety of complex projects related to tax advisory, business transactions, and strategy.

While much of your day-to-day work as a Senior Associate will involve supporting the team through client engagements (think conducting research, developing presentation materials, and managing project timelines), you will quickly develop a strong advisory toolkit by regularly interfacing with clients, digging deep into their problems in real-time, and delivering ongoing thought partnership. With experienced leaders to guide you along the way – including a dedicated performance advisor – we are invested in accelerating your growth.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Taxation
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tax compliance or advisory/consulting
  • You have a passion for developing client relationships and an appetite for building new skills
  • You get the job done and have fun doing it
  • You thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic work environment
  • You are a self-starter who readily identifies problems and instinctively looks for solutions
  • You demonstrate critical thinking, analytical rigor, and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You enjoy participating in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, and firm events
  • You have the ability and desire to travel as required based on client location

What You’ll Do:
  • Conduct research and analysis related to a variety of M&A tax advisory, transactions, and strategic issues
  • Use tax technical knowledge to perform buy- and sell-side due diligence and assist in developing tax-efficient acquisition and divestment structures
  • Develop reports, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables
  • Collaborate with project team to manage workstreams and ensure deadlines are met
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members

$80,000 - $150,000 a year
The expected pay range for this position is $80,000 - $ 150,000 (exclusive of bonus, equity, or benefits for which this role may be eligible). This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making individual compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; location and other business and organizational needs; and applicable laws.
