The Product Management team at Rubrik drives forward Rubrik’s vision, ensuring we continue to deliver on our market-leading platform as we address our customers' most challenging data management concerns. Our mission is to deliver the best application aware backups, helping customers to secure their data, while ensuring that we do not compromise on the end to end user experience we offer.


About The Role:


Rubrik is looking for a Senior Product Manager to expand Enterprise Data Protection coverage. In this role, you drive the roadmaps for Rubrik’s hypervisors protection systems, which is used widely by Rubrik’s customer base. This is a highly strategic and visible product role as Rubrik writes its next chapter of hypergrowth.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Own the strategy and develop and own the roadmap for a 0 to 1 product
  • Define product requirement and own the execution end-to-end
  • Define and own key results (KRs) and metrics that will help measure the success of the product 
  • Lead key customer programs - from concept validation, user-testing to running beta programs and be directly accountable for the success of the first twenty customers 
  • Collaborate closely with key cross functional teams like Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, Sales Engineering, Rubrik Intelligence team and other 
  • Deeply understand the customer needs, evaluate the changing hypervisor landscape and incubate the next set of workloads to increase Rubrik’s market share
  • Communicate product updates and launch plans to stakeholders
  • Partner with Marketing on messaging, positioning and sales enablement


Key Competencies:


  • Deep understanding of differences in customer use cases for Virtualization and Infrastructure
  • At least 5+ years product management experience in Enterprise Virtualization, Containers and Infrastructure related product:
  • Develop features to support real-world customer use cases
  • 5+ years experience working large enterprise product management organizations
  • Proficient in:
  • Virtualization technologies 
  • Containers, Kubevirt
  • Windows/Linux Administration
  • Ability to influence stakeholders cross-functionally, can work effectively with a geographically distributed engineering team
  • Customer-facing abilities to meet with and engage customers and prospects
  • Technical and can work effectively with a geographically distributed engineering team
  • Prior experience with UI/UX projects, iterative development & mockup reviews is a plus
  • Must have business acumen and ability to build business cases, communicate effectively with professionally done presentations and write-ups, influence others, and measure success


Where You Can Make An Impact:


  • Set clear vision & strategy to win in hypervisors protection market by launching new hypervisors support to align with the changing market demand
  • Create and own the product and feature roadmap to achieve Rubrik’s ambitious growth objectives - based on customer & market transitions to virtualization, container & cloud
  • Partner with internal cross functional stakeholders: Engineering, User Experience, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Support and professional services in product planning, execution and delivery streams
  • Partner with external stakeholders: Customers and ecosystem partners for new product introduction, evangelization as well as feedback & reviews
  • Be data driven to define product success metrics and KPIs - near term, medium term and track them on an ongoing basis


The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.


US Pay Range

$170,400—$255,600 USD
