About the role

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level Frontend Developer with strong design capabilities. You will be responsible for both implementing and designing features using Next.js and our established component libraries. As we operate without a dedicated designer, you'll need to make design decisions for your tasks while maintaining high coding standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using Next.js

  • Implement features using HeroUI and Tailwind components

  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsive design

  • Maintain high code quality standards and best practices

  • Work autonomously on assigned features from design to implementation

  • Create user-friendly interfaces using existing component libraries

  • Make design decisions for assigned features

  • Ensure consistency with existing design patterns

  • Optimize user experience across different devices

  • Transform requirements into intuitive UI solutions

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of frontend development experience

  • Strong proficiency in Next.js (required)

  • Experience with HeroUI and/or Tailwind components libraries

  • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles

  • Ability to work autonomously

  • Portfolio showcasing at least 5 examples of work where you handled both development and design

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Experience working with pre-built component libraries

  • Understanding of design systems and component-based architecture

  • Ability to leverage existing components rather than creating custom ones

  • Experience with HeroUI/Tailwind UI specifically is a plus

Location

Ruby Labs operates within the CET (Central European Time) zone. Applicants from any country are welcome to apply for the position as long as they are located within approximately ± 4 hours of CET. This ensures optimal collaboration and communication during working hours.

Interview Process
