Sr. Manager, Innovation Product (Home Services)

Overview:

SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Sr. Manager, Innovation Product for the Home Services team. In this role you will drive the development of forward-thinking and innovative product or service offerings that push the boundaries of traditional property insurance. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated product development success working closely with highly technical teams (e.g. software development, data management, etc.) as well as business teams (e.g. legal, finance, etc.). The candidate should have experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies, including technical requirements gathering, product roadmap planning and funnel analysis. In this role your primary responsibility will be to drive innovative product launches while ensuring strategic alignment across technical and non-technical business teams on behalf of the Home Services team.  

What you’d be doing: 

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with software development teams to support design and delivery of customized software on behalf of the Home Services team.  
  • Craft and execute go-to-market strategies, ensuring alignment across a diverse group of stakeholders with varying degrees of technical expertise 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement a/b testing strategies, gather data and insights for Home Services product funnels, and coordinate testing of new features or updates. 
  • Maintain comprehensive product development documentation, conduct cost/benefit analyses and present business proposals and/or strategic recommendations to senior leadership. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine strategic objectives and key initiatives. 
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement in operational efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the progress and success of strategic initiatives. 
  • Create financial models to evaluate the potential impact of strategic decisions on the company's financial performance. 
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, benchmark against competitors, and inform strategic decision-making. 
  • Partner with various departments, including Finance, Marketing, and Operations, to align strategic objectives and drive execution. 
  • Prepare clear and concise presentations and reports for senior leadership, summarizing findings, recommendations, and progress updates. 
  • Lead and/or support cross-functional projects to implement strategic initiatives, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals. 
  • Identify areas for process improvement and develop recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. 
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to other analysts, fostering their professional development and growth within the organization. 

We’re looking for someone who has: 

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in software engineering, business analytics or a related discipline. 
  • A thorough understanding of common statistical data analysis techniques and demonstrated experience transforming and visualizing data. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to apply critical thinking across multiple disciplines with comfort. 
  • Substantial experience working closely with software and data management teams.  
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. 
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.  
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.  
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.  
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.  
  • Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration.  
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. 

Highly preferred candidates also have: 

  • Prior experience in a P&C insurance company or industry-serving entity. 
  • Previous experience leading and managing small teams.
