About The Role:

We are looking for someone to join the Sales Engineering team to help support YipitData customers learn about, access, and ingest our data deliveries on various cloud platforms.

This is a remote-friendly opportunity that can sit in NYC (where our headquarters is located), one of our office hubs (Austin, Miami, Denver, Mountain View, or Seattle), or anywhere else in the US. However, depending upon where the remote work is performed, income could be subject to New York State tax withholding. Please note that we pay NYC-based salaries for US roles regardless of where employees choose to work.

As Our Sales Engineer You Will:

  • Help clients set up, ingest, and begin using our data feeds
  • Manage Amazon S3, Snowflake, and GCP access
  • Provide technical knowledge of our products in client-facing emails and calls
  • Troubleshoot client access issues, either with your own knowledge, or by finding the answer from other teams at our company
  • Communicate with our customers about upcoming changes
  • Collect and collate user feedback
  • Document internal and external processes
  • Create code examples that make it easier for our customers to get started
  • Work with our engineering team to help improve and automate support processes
  • Be the main point of contact internally for questions about data feed access

You Are Likely To Succeed If:

  • You have experience with programming languages used for data ingestion (e.g., Python)
  • You have front-line support or technical sales experience for technical products (APIs, feeds, data management services, ETL tools)
  • You've worked as a technical writer or you have very strong written communication skills
  • You excel at communicating and presenting complex technical information
  • You are entrepreneurial in nature and excited by the idea of building something from an early stage
  • You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and find solutions to novel problems, create processes for new tasks, and contribute to documentation as the team tackles new challenges.
  • Intermediate-level SQL familiarity is a plus

  • The annual base salary for this position is anticipated to be $70-80k for Sales Engineer I and $90-100k for Sales Engineer II. The final offer may be determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal team benchmarks.
