Sales Training Specialist

The Team: 

Sales enablement is a critical part of the GtM Enablement Team at Datadog. The team drives high-level strategic decision making across go-to-market, leads strategic planning, enables the field and adds operational rigor across the company. Our sales enablement function works across the go-to-market to ensure our company goals are met and our salespeople reach their potential.

The Opportunity:

Datadog continues to grow at a rapid rate. With this exciting growth, our onboarding program is quickly increasing in scale and complexity, as our team onboards hundreds of new hires each year across our SDR, AE, and CS teams. We’re looking for a structured communicator with a knack for simplifying the complex to develop and deliver our onboarding training program that enables our sales people to be successful in their jobs. 

You Will

  •  Deliver live and virtual sales onboarding that equip sellers with the essential knowledge and skills required to be successful in their role
  •  Partner with internal Sales Enablement Managers to define curriculum needs and content builds 
  •  Ensure that training content is delivered effectively - make delivery recommendations as needed
  •  Maintain eLearning onboarding learning path & perform quarterly audit of eLearning content
  •  Support planning and execution of Sales Kickoff - partner with curriculum team to ensure content translates to a good live experience and facilitate sessions if applicable
  •  Embed with sales to empathize with the realities of selling Datadog, but be willing to challenge assumptions to help the sales organization grow
  •  Champion sales / go-to-market enablement programs at Datadog 

You Are:

  •  2+ years in learning and development, sales enablement, in a training, or teaching role (can include non-sales concepts)
  •  Experience presenting day-long or multi-day trainings to groups of 20+ learners
  •  High ownership: you won’t be satisfied until every salesperson achieves their potential
  •  Experience developing dynamic and engaging trainings for various audiences
  •  Strong verbal and written communicator: you make the complex simple
  •  Team oriented and empathetic: you can work with analysts, engineers, reps, whomever!
  •  Must be based in NYC with up to 10% travel

Bonus Points:

  •  Experience at a high growth Software-as-a-Service or technology company
  •  Knowledge of DevOps or cloud technologies
  •  Experience enabling salespeople particularly with a structured methodology
  •  Experience building scalable programs at our scale or greater
