The Bioanalytics Automation Lab is looking for a Scientist, Automation Specialist to join our team. The individual in this role will be responsible for programming liquid handlers and other common laboratory automation equipment. The position will require the individual to collaborate with scientists and Automation Core staff to transfer manual processes to automated systems and validate the results. The successful candidate will assist with the build, development, training, and maintenance of automation systems designed to support mAb and genomic-based analytical protocols.

Main Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Sanofi scientists and automation team members to transfer manual assays to automation systems.
Build, program, and maintain automation systems to execute biological assays.
Perform experiments to confirm the functionality and performance of automation systems, identify issues, and implement improvements.
Train and support Sanofi scientists on automation systems and equipment.
Document all work associated with development of automated systems.
Coordinate with vendors to schedule maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions of automation systems.
About You
Experience:
Must have proven track record of developing liquid handler methods using Hamilton’s Venus software.
Experience with a wide range of laboratory automation equipment (PF400 Arms, plate peelers/sealers, capper/decappers, bulk dispensers, centrifuges, etc.)
Strong understanding of drug development assays and workflows, with the ability to translate them to automation systems.
Understanding of scheduling software (Cellario, Green Button Go, Genera)
Soft and technical skills:
Expertise in computer programming (Java, Python, R, Javascript, C++)
Experience in backend technologies (SQL, No-SQL/MongoDB)
Understanding of device communications (SPI, TCP)
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science Biotechnology, Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields.

The salary range for this position is:
$84,000.00 - $121,333.33All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
