Cloud Service Engineer

Primary Duties & Responsibilities• Develops and applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of advanced system requirements and problems• Plans, conducts and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects related to cloud infrastructure• Reviews completion and implementation of existing cloud implementation and complies the necessary sustainment requirements• Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services and provide input to bridge any gaps in services• Defines and designs complex system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for system compatibility• Conducts independent technical investigations of system design• Coordinates and consolidates design efforts on assigned projects• Assists in delivering presentations to management and/or the customer• Provides functional and technical guidance to less experienced engineers in all aspects of engineering projects• Organizes and leads assigned sections of major program reviews, design reviews, and proposals• 0-25% CONUS travel requiredMinimum Skills & Requirements• 5 to 10 years of experience working with Cloud Infrastructure• Extensive familiarity with Microsoft Cloud Technologies such as, but not limited to, M365 and Azure• Extensive familiarity with Azure Cloud Infrastructure• Extensive familiarity with M365 Applications• Extensive familiarity with PowerApps and PowerBI Pro• Familiarity with Hybrid Cloud Architecture• Must be DoD 8570 (i.e. Sec+ certified)Desired Skills & Requirements• Engineering or Computer Science degree• Familiarity with On-Prem connectivity to Cloud endpoints across a Hybrid cloud architecture• Familiarity with Azure Private Endpoints and how to advertise them to On-Prem client systems in a Hybrid cloud architecture• Familiarity with Azure routing architecture• Understanding of how Azure system-generated routes and with Azure user-defined routes forward traffic• Familiarity with Data Lifecycle Management• Familiarity with Threat Protection systems such as, but not limited to, Windows Defender Antimalware and Windows Defender Firewall• Familiarity with Identity and Access Management using Microsoft Entra ID• Familiarity with industry cybersecurity best practices• Familiarity with system networking and troubleshooting• Working knowledge of SharePointSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVELAbout UsScientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
