Logistics Engineer III

Description

SRC is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team!  We are looking for a Logistics Engineer III to support multiple contracts at our Warner Robins location.  Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting concurrent engineering forums with the program staff and decides on supportability design requirements for inclusion into systems designs
  • Determining program supportability procedures and preparing supportability plans in logistics technical disciplines
  • Guiding and directing subcontractors in the logistics technical disciplines
  • Establishing automated logistics support analysis databases and coordinates implementation and maintenance of databases with customers
  • Analyzing program designs to determine support equipment needed to operate and maintain systems
  • Identifying support equipment which best satisfy program requirements at the lowest life cycle costs
  • Conducting supportability trade-off studies in the ten logistics technical disciplines to determine alternate support concepts within cost parameters
  • Resolving supportability issues and risks to ensure systems are supportable when fielded
  • Preparing and implementing plans to deploy and activate systems at field locations
  • Managing program logistics to include material research and ordering
  • Assisting in development of customer presentations and proposal documents

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and two or more years work related experience or a Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience or at least 10 years military avionics/electronics maintenance and logistics experience
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance
  • Must have experience with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office
  • Performing work in this job’s occupational field requires the application of complex, technical professional disciplines requiring a four-year degree or equivalent and the extensive, applied use of related concepts, practices, and methods
  • The primary or most necessary skills required for this job are short term planning skills. Other important skills include analytical, communication skills, leadership, long-term planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have familiarity military maintenance and supply procedures, FEDLOG, Military Specification Standards, Technical Orders/Manuals, and TCTO’s/TD’s
  • Must have experience performing aircraft/weapon system TCTO modifications and using test equipment
  • Must understand logistics support concepts, life-cycle management, obsolescence resolution and military provisioning

Desired Skills

  • Requires regular interaction with and support to electrical/mechanical engineers, in integrating electronic systems onto military platforms and provide logistics support to multiple divisions/projects
  • A solid understanding of electronics and RF is beneficial
  • Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Support Equipment use and maintenance is beneficial
  • Secret Clearance
