DevSecOps Engineer

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for an experienced DevSecOps engineer. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded, experienced engineer who works well as a part of a team, prioritizes the quality of their product, and seizes opportunities to be creative, learn and grow as a developer.
Responsibilities
- Manage integration, scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks
- Work with development teams to orchestrate multiple deployments to development, test and operational environments
- Other duties as assigned
- At least three years professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), such as GitLab-ci or Jenkins
- Strong experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test, and production
- Experience with software supply chain security
- At least one year professional experience using Linux operating systems
- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
- Detail oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred
- Strong experience with software vulnerability scanning with static and dynamic code analysis
- Strong experience with package artifact management using JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or similar
- Experience designing and developing application container deployment solutions using docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, etc.
- Experience with software vulnerability remediation
- Development experience in Python, C++, or JavaScript
- Experience with version control using Git
- Systems and service administration in a linux environment, including the installation and maintenance of applications supporting CI/CD like GitLab, Jenkins, etc.
- Security+ Certification

The pay range for this position is $96,000 - $168,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
