DevSecOps Engineer

SciTec has been awarded multiple government contracts and is growing our creative Team! SciTec, Inc. is a dynamic small business with the mission to deliver advanced sensor data processing technologies and scientific instrumentation capabilities in support of National Security and Defense. We support customers throughout the Department of Defense and U.S. Government in building innovative new tools to deliver unique world-class data exploitation capabilities.

SciTec has an immediate opportunity for an experienced DevSecOps engineer. Our ideal candidate is a well-rounded, experienced engineer who works well as a part of a team, prioritizes the quality of their product, and seizes opportunities to be creative, learn and grow as a developer.

Responsibilities

  • Manage integration, scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks
  • Work with development teams to orchestrate multiple deployments to development, test and operational environments
  • Other duties as assigned
  • At least three years professional experience building and executing DevOps or DevSecOps solutions using Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), such as GitLab-ci or Jenkins
  • Strong experience maintaining deployment environments for development, test, and production
  • Experience with software supply chain security
  • At least one year professional experience using Linux operating systems
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred

  • Strong experience with software vulnerability scanning with static and dynamic code analysis
  • Strong experience with package artifact management using JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or similar
  • Experience designing and developing application container deployment solutions using docker, docker-compose, Kubernetes, etc.
  • Experience with software vulnerability remediation
  • Development experience in Python, C++, or JavaScript
  • Experience with version control using Git
  • Systems and service administration in a linux environment, including the installation and maintenance of applications supporting CI/CD like GitLab, Jenkins, etc.
  • Security+ Certification

The pay range for this position is $96,000 - $168,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills. This is not a guarantee of compensation.
