Seam Forming

The Seam Forming Operator plays a major role in the production of Press Fabrics for use in the pulp and paper industry. Over time the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks each associated with the classification of Seam Forming Operator. These include: Bonding, Seam Forming, Web Making and Needling.

Essential Job Functions:

• To operate needling equipment
• To follow instructions on manufacturing cards
• To perform standard work as specified in JIBS
• To assure quality of products
• To perform minor maintenance work
• To participate on various Department Groups and Committees
• To act as a member of a Department PI Team
• To perform all tasks requested by supervisor
